The Many Faces of AKB48

48-member girl pop band shows what it's like to be rejected by you.

Namco Bandai's upcoming PSP love sim AKB1/48 lets you experience what it's like to have 48 real life idols, the members of 48-member JPOP group AKB48, fall hopelessly in love with you.

Of course, this isn't an adult game, so you'll only get to choose one as your true love. You'll have to reject the ones you don't want and choose that one special girl. You can expect a variety of reactions, as shown in this face chart that was shared today at the game's newly opened official site:

The site currently has just a few points about the game, most of it previously revealed.

AKB1/48 promises quite a bit of volume on a single UMD. You'll find over 80 minutes of original video footage, including clips of the girls reacting to being rejected by you. The game also has over original 10,000 still shots.

For a sampling of the AKB48 members' acting skills, view this trailer, which has already been viewed half a million times on YouTube.

AKB1/48 also promises to be a tool for connecting you with members of AKB48. You'll apparently receive real e-mails from the band members.

And, of course, there's the insane limited edition, which includes 48 battery covers each bearing the kiss of a single girl. For details on that, see this story.
