Phantasy Star Portable 2 Infinity Gets "Biggest Demo in PSP History"

600 megabyte demo hits in January.

Sega is readying a "special" demo for Phantasy Star Portable 2 Infinity. How special? The company says the demo will be the biggest demo in PSP history, with volume beyond anything we've seen before.

A bit more specifically, the demo will include episodes 1 and 2 of the game's story mode, and the ability to build up your characters to player level 100 and battle type level 20. The demo will offer a sampling of the game's Infinity Mission and Visual Lobby systems and will also support multiplayer modes, including multi mode, internet multi mode and friend search (like "tag mode").

To play the Internet Multi Mode, you'll need to download a free "Infinity Trial License" from PlayStation Store. This mode of the demo will be playable only until the retail version's release.

You'll of course be able to carry your demo data over to the final version of the game. The demo itself will let you import save data from Phantasy Star Portable 2. You can also import your characters from Phantasy Star Portable and Phantasy Star Universe.

Look for the demo some time in January. Sega says to make sure you have over 600 megabytes of space on your Memory Stick.
