Hori and Sega Team Up for Pricey Hatsune Miku PS3 Controller

Now if they'd only make a Hatsune Miku PS3 game...

There's still no actual Hatsune Miku game for PS3. But there will soon be one hell of a Hatsne Miku controller!

This is the officially licensed Hatsune Miku Project Diva Dreamy Theater 2nd controller. Designed in the image of the Hatsune Miku Project Diva arcade cabinet, the controller is meant to be used with the upcoming Hatsune Miku Project Diva Dreamy Theater 2nd, a downloadable PS3 title that interfaces with your PSP to output PSP's Hatsune Miku Project Diva 2nd to your television in HD (it's technically not a PS3 title, as it needs the PSP game to run).

The controller measures 690x430x70mm and has massive arcade-size buttons which light up. You can customize the unit slightly, as the display plate at the top can be swapped out with self-made inserts.

The cost to you: ¥29,939.

As with other pricey Hori product (like the Xbox 360 Virtual On Twin Sticks), this controller will only go into production if Hori receives enough orders by a certain date. The close date for orders is March 22, so if you're interested, follow the instructions at the order page.

If it goes into production, the controller will be shipped simultaneously with Dream Theater 2nd's PSN release some time this summer.
