Armored Core V Beta Test Detailed

From Software wants 20,000 people to test out ACV's online play.

From Software formally announced the release time frame for Armored Core V today. As is often the case, the time frame leaked out of Famitsu in advance.

Both the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions will hit in October, priced ¥7,800. As a bonus item, From will be including a special Armored Core V Original Head Set.

From also shared details on the game's upcoming closed beta test, which was also mentioned in Famitsu yesterday. The company is seeking 5,000 pairs of players for each platform. That means 20,000 players in all will get to test out the game.

The goal of the beta test, according to From, is to test the following areas: server load, multiplayer play, team management and player communication. It also hopes to tune overall progression speed and balance.

To take part in the beta test, you'll want to visit the beta test special site once it's fully opened in the coming days.
