Tales of the Abyss, Golden Eye 007, and ToHeart 2 Dungeon Travelers reviewed this week.

ToHeart 2 Dungeon Travelers. This is actually one of the safer images.

This week's Famitsu has reviews of games like Tales of the Abyss, ToHeart 2 Dungeon Travelers and Golden Eye 007. Let's take a look, via the detailed summaries posted at Sokuho.

Reviews are listed with the individual review scores (four separate reviewers, each reviewing out of 10), and play times. The play times are given to Famitsu by the publishers.

Tales of the Abyss (Namco Bandai, 3DS)

Score: 8, 8, 7, 8. 60 hours clear time, or 100 hours for those who explore the depths. The reduced load times make the game more user friendly, one reviewer said. Other reviewers said that the touch screen adds some convenient features, for battle special moves and cooking shortcuts. One reviewer noted that while the fundamentals are unchanged, leaving the feeling of freshness, Abyss fans will find something new as the 3DS version is based off the US PS2 version, which added new specials and other features over the Japanese PS2 version.

ToHeart2 Dungeon Travelers (Aqua Plus, PSP)

Score: 8, 7, 8, 7. 30 hour to clear the story, 80 hours for all bonus content. One reviewer said that the game's 3D dungeon component is deep, and it's fun to build up your party, but there are some issues, including the small text and icon size and the lack of a quickly accessible map feature. Another reviewer praised the sexy CG and said that fans of the original source material will enjoy themselves. One reviewer complained about the tempo due to the inability to skip event scenes. (10 years from now, developers are still going to be forgetting that we sometimes don't want to watch their crappy event scenes.)

Flower Shop Story (Nippon Columbia, DS)

Score: 7, 6, 7, 6. 10 hours to clear, 14 hours with everything. Reviewers liked how the game gives the feeling of being in a flower shop, and the child-friendly mini games. There were a few complaints about controls, though.

Shutsugeki!! Otome-tachi no Senjo 2 (SystemSoft Alpha, PSP)

Score 5, 5, 6, 5. 20 to 30 hours play time for each route. This strategy title appears to be targeted to advanced players, with one reviewer saying that those who are experienced with the Daisenryaku strategy series will enjoy themselves. There was some praise for the "gal game" taste graphics and the sensible UI.

Golden Eye 007 (Nintendo, Wii)

Score: 9, 9, 8, 8. Play time will vary depending on play style.

Test Drive Unlimited 2 (Cyber Front PS360)

Score: 8, 8, 8, 9. Clear time for single player is 70 hours, multiplayer play time is infinite.

Power Smash 4 (Sega, PS360)

Score: 7, 8, 7, 9. Clear time for world tour mode is 5 hours.
