Two Unsurprising Bits About Yakuza 5

Console and locations apparently confirmed in this week's Famitsu.

We can probably expect Kamurocho to return in Yakuza 5 (shown here, the Yakuza 4 version).

A couple of bits have surface from Famitsu regarding Yakuza 5. None of this is verified by our usual sources for Famitsu leakage, but the revelations aren't too surprising.

The magazine confirms that the sequel will be released for PlayStation 3. This was true of the past four console Yakuza games (Kenzan, 3, 4, and Of the End) as well, so PS3 was widely expected.

Famitsu also reveals that the game will have locations in Sapporo, Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka and Fukuoka. Sega recently held a survey asking fans which of these five cities they'd like to see in the sequel. While northernly Sapporo was the clear favorite amongst fans, it looks like the survey was just a marketing stunt.

Famitsu's scoops for the week are just starting to leak out, so we'll hopefully have more details in a bit!
