Famitsu Rates Final Fantasy XIII-2 Perfect, Monster Hunter 3G Almost Perfect

Caius knew of the perfect score in advance (because he's from the future).

Famitsu is handing out the 10s again, and a whole bunch of them went to Final Fantasy XIII-2. The magazine gave the FFXIII direct sequel a perfect rating this week, meaning each of its four reviewers awarded it a 10.

This is the magazine's third perfect score of the year following Zelda Skyward Sword and Elder Scrolls Skyrim. Final Fantasy XIII scored almost perfect back in 2009, with three 10s and a 9.

Only a few bits of the review text have leaked out form the magazine. The reviewers apparently said that the game fixes the issues of the original. Additionally, there's a lot of gameplay to be found.

FFXIII-2 wasn't the only game to get 10s. Here's the full list of reviews this week:

  • Final Fantasy XIII-2 (PS360): 10, 10, 10, 10
  • Monster Hunter 3G (3DS): 10, 10, 9, 9
  • Bakuman: Road to Becoming a Manga Artist (DS): 8, 7, 8, 7
  • Moe Moei Daisensou Gendaiban 3D (3DS): 6, 6, 5, 5
  • Puyo Puyo!! (3DS): 8, 8, 8, 8
  • Kunio-kun Special (3DS): 7, 7, 7, 7
  • Let's Play Together Dream Theme Park (Wii): 8, 7, 7, 8
  • BlazBlue Continuum Shift Extend (PS360): 9, 9, 8, 9
  • Lord of Apocalypse (PSP): 9, 9, 8, 8
  • Shin Kamaitachi no Yoru (PS3): 9, 9, 9, 10

Those last three are also being released simultaneously on 12/17 on PlayStation Vita, but Famitsu did not review the Vita versions. The magazine will presumably have Vita reviews in its next issue.
