Nintendo managed some impressive sales numbers over the week of Christmas for the 3DS platform.
According to Famitsu and Enterbrain, 3DS shifted 510,629 units over the week. This brings its lifetime total above the four million mark, to 4,135,739 units.
The 510,629 unit figure is a new weekly high for the 3DS, breaking last week's record of 367,691 units.
Mario Kart 7 and Super Mario 3D Land also sold large quantities last week. Both games crossed the million mark in domestic sales, becoming the first 3DS games to do so. Mario Land is now at 1,042,511 units (covering 11/3 to 12/25). Mario Kart is now at 1,082,391 units (covering 12/1 to 12/25)
While Enterbrain did not provide specific figures, we can guess that they were both above 150,000 units. Last week, Media Create, a separate tracking firm, reported total life to date sales last week of 789,871 units for Mario kart and 837,143 units for Mario Land.
