Sony Celebrates Tokyo Jungle Release With PlayStation Camp Discount

Plus, how many gigs of awesome is this latest PS Camp release?

Tokyo Jungle is the latest in Sony's lineup of independentish game titles that fall under the "PlayStation Camp" program. Sony will be celebrating its release with a PSN discount campaign for other PS Camp titles.

From June 7 through July 9, games like MyStylist, Echochrome, 100 Yen Trash Can, Yuusha no Kuse ni Namaikida, Million Ton Bara Bara and Juon to Diamond will be available for discounts of up to ¥1,000 depending on the game. 100 Yen Trash Can in particular is seeing its price slashed all the way in half, from its normal 100 yen asking price to 50 yen.

You might have noticed that MyStylist is a package-only release at present. Sony will begin offering it on PSN to coincide with this campaign. The campaign price is ¥1,000. The post campaign price will be ¥1,400.

Joining this campaign, Sony's Shuhei Yoshida updated his Twitter account today with details on a pre-order campaign for the game. Pre-order the download version, and your PS3 will automatically download the game before launch, allowing you to play it on launch day without trouble. Pre-orderers will get some dynamic themes and avatars as bonus items.

The download size for Tokyo Jungle is 1.8 gigabytes, Yoshida revealed.

The game will also be available as a disc release. As detailed earlier in the week, you'll get different bonus animals, including pandas and kangaroos, depending on where you pre-order.
