Dragon Quest Monsters Sells Half Million First Week
Media Create dominance from the 3DS remake.
The latest entry in the Dragon Quest Monsters series dominated last week's moderately crowded release schedule. Dragon Quest Monsters Terry's Wonderland 3D, a 3DS remake of the original Dragon Quest Monsters, sold over 500,000 units in its first week, easily taking the top spot in Media Create's weekly sales chart.
None of the other new releases did nearly as well. Level-5's Guild-01, which combines four unique games from four different creators, sold 14,790 units in its first week. Level-5 already announced a sequel a couple of weeks back.
Other debuts included a Fist of the North Star pachinko game on PS3, the latest PSP entry in the Hiiro no Kakera series and the PSP version of BlazBlue Continuum Shift Extend.
