The summer sales pattern continued this week, with long selling Wii, 3DS and DS titles remaining high on the Enterbrain software chart. New Super Mario Bros. 2 took first place for the third week in a row, having now crossed the million mark.

There were a few newcomers this week. Namco Bandai's PSP adaptation of Bakemonogatari sold 34,513 units in its first week. Other debuts included Tantei Oper Milky Holmes 2 on PSP and Witcher 2 on Xbox 360.
